Description of the Ukrainian-British Gaiseen Innovation Ecosystem.

What the talk is about

Taras Terletskyi presents Geissen, a Ukrainian-British startup at the intersection of music education and games. The starting point: most children quit music lessons within the first years because practice is boring, while they play games willingly. Geissen is a small sensor that clips onto a real instrument (the recorder was chosen first) and, over Bluetooth, turns it into a game controller with almost no latency. Around the device the team is building a platform: a game store, a teacher dashboard with reports on students' progress, and a player community. He explains why the project needs game development partners, how existing games could be adapted, why the SDK will be shaped together with the first partners, and a planned charity initiative for Ukrainian music schools. Useful for studios looking for new niches and for edtech teams.
