Serhiy Barbashyn

Serhiy Barbashyn is a practising attorney, Managing Partner of Barbashyn Law Firm and President of the International AI Ethics and Integrity Association (AIEI). He is an international compliance expert with more than 14 years of experience at the intersection of law and technology. The firm has offices in Ukraine and Europe and supports technology and creative businesses, including the video game industry, in IT law and intellectual property, startups and blockchain. His focus is AI regulation and governance, intellectual property and IT law, and international corporate compliance in the EU and Ukraine; he mostly works with tech companies that need to launch AI products without rebuilding them a year later for legal or regulatory reasons. He serves as an expert on projects of Ukraine's Ministry of Digital Transformation. He once played Dota professionally in tournaments.
