In this lecture, I’ll share my experience in creating games — both tabletop and digital — focusing on building visual language, developing characters, and addressing the ethical dimensions of game design.
We’ll discuss how to move beyond a one-off project and create a living lore that can evolve through future products.
Additional topics include:
Gamification as a method for helping employees with traumatic experiences adapt,
How games can serve as an effective medium for discussing complex and sensitive issues,
And why it’s important to talk about war through games.
The talk also touches on the broader creative industries context — particularly how to work with veterans returning to civilian life through game development and storytelling.
