Introducing artificial intelligence and tools based on it into the development of art for mobile games.
What the talk is about
Anna Kolodiyska explains how the mobile studio AB-Games spent almost three years bringing generative AI into art production. The team started in 2022 with Stable Diffusion, moved to ComfyUI with custom nodes, and later, for security reasons, built its own service on in-house servers with models trained on the projects' visual styles. The character department went first: it dropped studio photo shoots for references and part of its stock purchases, cut production time per character by 30–50% and tripled the number of avatars per update. The approach then spread to seasonal and collectible content, where timelines were halved. She describes the features artists asked for and why the final decision and the meaning of the art stay with people. Useful for art directors and leads building an AI pipeline.
