Valeriy Khilobok

Valeriy Khilobok is a Ukrainian sound designer and composer who creates sound for film, games and interactive media. He started in Ukrainian cinema, working on numerous feature films for Ukrainian and international distribution, and spent a long time as a Foley artist. He is also a recordist and field recordist who records nature, explosions and anything else that can be recorded, calling it "sound photography". He later worked on mobile games at Whaleapp and now works on sound at GSC Game World on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, where he is responsible for mutants, creatures and anomalies within the audio team. He explores sound psychology, spatial perception and adaptive mixing, using sound as a tool for emotional storytelling.
