What the talk is about

Yurii Liapin explains how to finish what you start and spend your energy sensibly when incoming tasks outnumber what you can hold in your head. He builds on David Allen's approach. The core idea: the brain works on one task at a time, so anything you can't do right now should be written down rather than remembered. Incoming items (tracker, messengers, email, colleagues' requests) go through a simple algorithm: is action needed, can it be delegated, does it fit the two-minute rule. The rest is recorded in lists split by time horizon. Tasks should be worded concretely and broken into small steps, and lists reviewed regularly: unfinished items are rescheduled, outdated ones closed, and for postponed ones you define a minimally acceptable result instead of chasing perfection. Useful not only for managers but for anyone buried in daily incoming tasks.
