What the talk is about

Jama Jurabaev talks about his path in film concept art and how to choose between 2D, 3D and photobashing for each task. Photoreal shots with several angles are faster in 3D plus photos, while expressive sketches and dynamic poses land better with clients than grey turnarounds. A design should rest on one clear idea rather than dozens of silhouettes. Using characters and monsters from film projects, he shows how art-director feedback reshapes the result. The core of the talk is VR painting: a sketch instantly becomes a 3D scene you can rotate, check for scale, film with a virtual camera, and in future build together as a team. He believes the technology will mature and the real barrier is artists' habits, and he insists on solid fundamentals. Useful for concept artists, 3D artists and designers curious about VR.
