What the talk is about
Andrii Romanenko tells his path from electronic music to audio for games and interactive books. He moved from Cubase to Ableton Live, learned drum'n'bass on a course and released a track on a small British label, wrote production articles, and then began making soundtracks and sound effects for games: a hidden-object adventure puzzle, a mobile checkpoint game, and audiobooks in an audio-and-film hybrid format. His main thesis is that Ableton Live is the shortest route to the required quality per unit of time, since it offers both session and arrangement workflows, and the Push controller lets him compose without a mouse, even away from the studio. In the Q&A he explains how he builds tracks from scenes and sample packs and why he prefers software instruments. Useful for composers and sound designers choosing a workstation and a faster pipeline.
