What the talk is about

Mykola Dorofii explains how automation, work distribution and a procedural approach cut manual effort in development. He advises automating the build from day one with build servers such as TeamCity or Jenkins. Using a match-3 game and a top-down shooter, he shows in-house level editors, a generator, a player and an analyzer: levels can be played through in every variant to gather passability statistics, replacing monkey testing, while state snapshots let teams reproduce bugs exactly, including ones from live players. Game designers get a node-based logic editor, while programmers focus on visualization and new nodes. He also covers a procedural world built with Houdini and Unity, using vertex colors, no transparency and GPU animation for high FPS on mobile. Useful for programmers, technical designers and leads who want to offload work from the team.
