What the talk is about

Kostiantyn Telpis explains how the Township team has been gradually refreshing the game's long-established graphics. The main steps: dropping fine detail (individual bricks, tiles, tiny props) that only adds noise on a phone; working with silhouettes, cleaner color, warm and cool contrast, and softer volume; and making outlines softer but keeping them so new art matches old content. For seasons, the team introduced mood boards built around the loading screen and main window, bolder concepts, reworked characters, and unified UI and mini-games. Fishdom and Wildscapes served as references. In the Q&A he covers team structure, teaching through quick visual mini-masterclasses, and the need to be bolder about trying changes. Useful for artists and leads refreshing the visuals of a long-running project.
