What the talk is about

Nikita Yermachkov from Saber Interactive explains how to build clear game metrics visualizations for development teams and executives. His first rule is to keep it simple: if a metric can be shown as a single number, do not draw a chart, and dashboards for executives and producers must be readable at a glance without clutter. Using practical examples, he walks through common analytics traps: drawing wrong conclusions from normalized percentage bars without checking the absolute cohort size, missing outages when charting tools skip days with zero data instead of plotting zeros, and misreading trends when comparing charts with different axis scales. He also covers choosing between line and bar charts and marking only meaningful local minimums and maximums. Useful for game analysts, producers and game designers.
