What the talk is about
Oleh Akimov, one of the administrators of a Spine user community, explains to artists why they should understand 2D animation in Spine and how to prepare art for it. Knowing the tool's limits saves wasted work, helps artists and animators speak the same language, and lets artists make rough drafts or simple animations themselves. He covers skeletal animation, meshes, inverse kinematics, skins, paths and clipping. On art preparation, he advises splitting images into objects, keeping perspective correct, avoiding graphic debris and tiny details, packing atlases economically and painting hidden parts. He stresses naming rules: Latin letters only, no spaces or special characters. He then shows basic rigging and animation in Spine, and unspoken problems such as bent poses, speed lines and eye-travel time. Useful for artists, animators and anyone starting with Spine.
