Discussion panel

What the talk is about
The panelists discuss where independent studios can find money and how to prepare for it. Investors explain the difference between project financing (from publishers or angel investors) and venture capital, which expects the potential to grow into a very large company and an exit within five to seven years. For a first game, they advise proving yourself with a prototype and your own resources, looking for investors among acquaintances and in Ukraine, and networking actively at events. A strong pitch needs a capable team, a clear strategy, a fun game, understandable metrics such as LTV and CPI, and a franchise plan. The panel also covers mature companies and M&A, cultural differences between Asian, European and American investors, and whether you can raise funds while operating from Ukraine. Useful for studios and founders preparing a first funding round.
