What the talk is about

Ivan Titov and Igor Pospishiy, who do PR for indie games, advise going to game conferences with clear goals and planning the year's trips well ahead. First decide the type of event (B2B or B2C) and the region that matters: at B2B events you look for publishers, investors and partners, and shouldn't expect sales. For meetings, prepare a list of people with photos, watch the meeting systems (schedules at big events fill up months ahead) and look for closed parties. At the booth, assign roles, don't leave players alone and actively invite people to play. B2C events call for a bright booth, merch and giveaways. Arrive early for press hours, record feedback, value feedback from your target region and build a community. Useful for indie developers planning conference trips.
