What the talk is about
Stanislav Felinskyi presents MVRPD, an architecture for Unity games: MVP with a reactive presenter (built on UniRx) plus a "D" for decision, handled by behavior trees. The model holds state, the view is the Unity objects, and the presenter reactively glues them together, so a view can be swapped (for example Transform for a tween) without touching the model. Decision logic such as character death, level restart or analytics lives in trees built from Sequence and Selector nodes, so new behavior is added as a new node without changing existing code. Asynchronous server calls are wrapped in promises, and a stub stands in for the server during development. He also covers Unity Package Manager packages for reusing code across projects. The approach was tried on a blackjack prototype. Useful for Unity developers and architects.
