What the talk is about
Andrey Taliashvili describes the game UI/UX design workflow used in large companies with producers, managers and a heavy production pipeline. He adapts a well-known layered model of digital product development (from player needs and business goals up to visual style) to game interfaces, and explains why changing the lower layers forces rework of every layer above. The UX designer works in a pair with a game designer, and the result is shown to a game producer who gives feedback or can veto; 2D artists and developers help with implementation. Two examples, a character screen for a turn-based RPG and a 10-stage event for a shooter, show the path: breaking down the task, a fact map of elements, references, a quick wireframe, filling in content, and checking visual focus with a blur. Useful for UI/UX and game designers.
