What the talk is about
Andrii Kozyrenko, Anna Hryn and Andrii Poharskyi of Big Medium Small describe how their studio grew out of the idea of ready-made 3D packs for concept artists and film work. The first knights pack used static poses, so the team moved on to fully handmade, optimized, rigged characters that work in Blender, Unreal and Unity. They walk through the Wild West pack: historical reference research, a quick 3D concept in Blender, then detailing, retopology and texturing, plus the choice to make heroes more attractive. With Lost City they show a modular environment of about a hundred assets, light and dark texture variants blended with masks, and Houdini's role. The Q&A covers timelines (a pack takes about four months), royalty-free sales and export formats. Useful for 3D and concept artists building asset packs.
