What the talk is about
Oleksiy Savchenko discusses how Ukrainian studios can navigate the market after the full-scale invasion began. He lists the problems: displaced teams, no travel abroad, and harder communication and trade-show presence. At the same time, a shortage of specialists in Russia and Belarus, plus difficulties in Ukraine, has created a gap in quality, relatively affordable service and outsourcing work. He advises having someone abroad to represent the studio, looking for short high-paying projects in newer areas such as metaverse and crypto, offering technology solutions and plugins, and considering joint ventures with European investors and local support initiatives, including Polish ones. He also announces a relaunched developer contest to bring Ukrainian projects to publishers and investors. Useful for studio leaders and specialists looking for opportunities.
