What the talk is about
Ulyana Krystaszek debunks common myths about casino game development, especially online slots. She shows that art has moved far beyond bells and cherries, with detailed concepts, characters and story worlds. Production takes real time: up to half goes into pre-production with prototypes, math models and playtests, and after release a game is rarely iterated because it goes through independent certification. She explains slot design basics such as RTP, volatility, win lines, wild and scatter symbols, and free spins. She also covers the audience (mostly male players, not grandmothers), transparency and regulation. In the Q&A she answers questions about testing, choosing themes, music and balancing bonus features. Useful for anyone curious about casino game development and game design.
